This weekend Phillip's parents came in town to do a little early Christmas celebration. We won't be able to see them this year on Christmas, so they were so sweet to drive here and celebrate with us. We had a great time! We opened presents, road the carousel, went to a GREAT Christmas program, and did a little shopping. Lucy just loves her M and Grandaddy (pronounced in her southern drawl Eeee-Um and Gandaddy). I think we are going to be asking for them all week. Phillip and I even got to go on a date, which hasn't happened since August. It was a great weekend and we miss them already! I think Gandaddy is trying to help us pay for college by working on a basketball scholarship. She is in the 85% for height. She got a makeup kit from M. Lucy absolutely is obsessed with makeup and all things girl. She immediately put the rollers in her hair and has been drying every one's hair all weekend.
This is what you get to do when the grandparents visit...sit on the counter and eat all of the cake you want. She loves poundcake! Then we went to a Christmas show at a local church. It was so awesome. Lucy did ok. She cried between scenes when the music stopped. She didn't quite understand why it was stopping. Eventually we could assure her that is was coming right back on and she wouldn't cry.
She loved the Toy Soldiers.
Watching the program. We had the perfect seats for us. She could just stand and watch everything. The choir was in seats all the way up each tree. The music was great. Ironically she wanted to be where Frosty was all night. When we met him she could not get away fast enough! She loved the Toy Soldiers.
