Today was Lucy's baptism. Our family came from Georgia, South Carolina, and Lake Martin to be there today. It meant so much that they did that. It was a special day and Lucy did really well. She was pretty fussy and I got her calmed down, but then the microphone had some feedback and she lost it. By the time the preacher baptised her she had calmed down, but I was a wreck. We had such a great time and love seeing our family. We missed you Bo and Molly!! I wish we could put more than 5 photos up, because I have a ton!
Daddy trying to calm Lu down before the service. Pastor Steven baptized LAS.
Today we went to Abbeville and stayed with Momma M and Grandaddy for the first time. They even have a crib set up for Lucy. She loved it. Momma M had a party to introduce Lucy to her friends. We had a great time seeing everyone and Lucy did so well. She looked so cute and only cried for a little second. She let everyone hold her without complaining. We had such a nice time and look forward to going again.
Beautiful cake! Wonderful people from Abbeville came to visit Lu.
With her Momma M
So happy with Miss LuckyIn her very own crib in Abbeville.
Today we drove to Panama City to visit one of Phillip's best friends, Jonathan and his great wife Genevieve. We had so much fun seeing them. We just wish they lived closer. Of course I don't have a picture of all of us. I will add it when they send one.
Gina came to visit us this weekend. It was awesome. We all miss her soooo much. We went to the beach, got some drinks, and did a little shopping. All of that and these are the only pictures I took. I have got to be better. Please move her. Thanks! Such a natural!
Love this girl! Getting ready for our afternoon walk.
Today was LAS' 2 month check up. She is 10lbs 10oz and 23 1/2 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. She had to get shots today too. LAS did very well and only cried a little bit. She is a tough little cookie. She just needed some Mommy love. Most of the day she slept and I just held her. I can't believe that she is 2 months old!
Today LAS is 9 weeks old. She is just so beautiful and really doing something new everyday. She is smiling and laughing a lot. (Still crying a lot too). You can make her laugh at you and it is just the best sound in the world. She is also gripping things and reaching out a lot more. She can also officially roll from front to back. So smart! She loves her pacie!
Today was a great day! My first mother's day! Lucy was so sweet and let her daddy and me sleep in. She is so thoughtful. We were going to church, but then she had a fit so we just got dressed and met our great friends Margaret, Nathan, and little Anderson for brunch. We are so glad we have met them here. I came home and took a nap. It was glorious. I have such a great family. We are thankful everyday!
My friend Meredith took this picture. We were trying hard to get a smile. She is just too quick. I can't believe that two months have gone by. She changes every day. We came to Birmingham to visit her two newest friends. My friend Jessica had baby Georgia and Mallory had baby Emory. All within a couple of days. It is going to be fun having them grow up together!
We came to Birmingham to celebrate the wedding of Bess and Jason. Phillip's sister. It was a fun party and a beautiful home. It was so fun to see them again, even if it were for a short time. We got to see some of our great friends too! With Momma M and Grandaddy.
Meeting the Scroggins. Ava is going to be a great big sister.
I am a mother, teacher, friend, and wife. I have an awesome husband who is so helpful and really funny. Our little girl is nearing two and is full of energy. We have a great life here in Southern Louisiana. We are looking forward to our next adventure!
