Christmas 2011

Christmas morning was fun this year, although I think she wasn't really sure what to expect. Lu knew Santa was coming and that he brought toys, but when she saw everything it was a little overwhelming. I also think it had something to do with not seeing a pink guitar. Oh well, a good life lesson: you don't always get what you want.

Pretty close to losing it.

Wow! Hello Kitty under ware.

Warming up to the guitar.

Aunt Bess helped RWS enjoy his first Christmas.

Ariel is our new favorite. These pajamas never came off.

Oh, mermaid hair.

Taking the scooter for a ride.

Dad trying to slow her down and keep her from running into the brick wall.

Reynolds still having a blast.

Skipper cheerleaders. Pretty good that Aunt Bess's outfit from high school still fits.

Multi-talented

Top gifts:

1. $1 fake red hair that resembles Ariel's

2. $4 Strawberry Shortcake bouncy ball

3. $10 pack of Hello Kitty under ware

4. $4 Ariel pajamas

So I could have spent less than $20 and been good. Lesson learned!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas in Abbeville this year and had a great time. We were able to stay for a long visit, which was so nice. All of the Aunts and Uncles were there and Lu and RWS were in heaven. There was lots of good food, play time, and FUN. So glad we were able to be there. Christmas Eve was a lot of fun and Lu had a great time getting ready for Santa. He even called her at the house (Thanks Uncle Jason).

Well protected for our scooter ride. Lu has no fear and would go 90 mph until something made her stop. We felt the protective gear was necessary. Some one loves their Grandaddy. This is where RWS spent a lot of Christmas.

We played "dirty Santa" and read the "Night Before Christmas" and the birth story from the Bible. We have some great traditions that I always look forward to.

Momma M got the kiddos matching pajamas for Christmas. They looked so cute. And then the kissing began. Poor kid gets "over"-loved on by his sister quite a bit. You can tell he is thrilled.

Then Santa dropped off his loot. I think they must have been good this year, although many may argue that statement as of late. Lu asked for a pink guitar, but Santa had already made a yellow Sponge Bob guitar. Luckily there was no melt down, but if some one asks what she got for Christmas she always starts off by saying, "Well, I wanted a pink guitar, but I got a yellow one." All while making a sad face. It plays about the same as a pink one would. The $4 Strawberry Shortcake bouncy ball was the favorite. Santa is downsizing next year!

Fantasy in Lights

Last night the girls drove over to Callaway Gardens for Fantasy in Lights. If you are near by, you have to go. It was a lot of fun. It was pouring rain, but still a great time. It was really fun to have a girls trip. Lu loved the lights. She was so excited. I can't wait to do it again!

Aunt Bess drove over from Atlanta. Lu is not of fan of people dressed in costume.

This expression says it all!! "I see Christmas lights!!"

My favorite was the snowflake valley.

Christmas in Auburn

Warning: Longest Post Ever!
Since there are tons of pictures I will not bore you with too many details. Fortunately my brother and sis-in-law still live in Auburn so we get to go there every so often. I want to move there so bad. I just love it, but enough about that. My side of the family all met up at their house and had our Christmas. It was perfect. Several of my family members met RWS for the first time, and that was a lot of fun. Thanks for everything!!
Posing with her Great-Grandmother!

Gabriella always manages to find us.

Then the mass present opening began! and someone was pretty excited about it.

Baby Skippy took it all in.

Lucy got a book about Aubie and started reading it to Reynolds. Everyone is worried about how much she loves LSU's Mike the Tiger. They are trying really hard to make her understand that he is the WRONG tiger. Reynolds got to meet: Mema
Gaa Gaa Uncle John

Me Me and Pops Then we played with everything. The scooter was a hit.

After everyone left we went to campus and took A LOT of pictures. You may be very bored with the next pictures unless you are part of the family. Sorry.

Lu loves her Aunt Molly.

More family pics.

Uncle Bo swinging her .

Sad trees.

Cuddling with Aunt Molly.
