Ready for Reynolds

The count down is on. It has been on for a while now. I have been dilated 4 centimeters since 35 weeks. That is just the first time I was checked, so who knows how long I have been dilated. Things are stalled for now due to some things that happened during Lucy's birth, nothing major. Hoping that things get going next week. His room is ready, and hopefully we are. Most of you know we are just temporarily in Baton Rouge, so decorating a nursery isn't quite as fun as it could be. I am happy with it though. Luckily the room is big enough to keep a bed which will be nice for the grandparents and any visitors. Can't wait to meet this guy. He is really active and at an ultrasound recently he measured about 6 lbs. That was the 50%. Right on track.

These pictures are probably my favorite thing in the nursery. I don't know if you can tell but they are a collage from magazines. I found them at a store where my parents live and they were a gift from my uncle. I love them and think we can use them for a long time. They are so cool and different.

This is the bedding up close.

And here is the big sister who is about to have her world rocked!

A few things I would like to thank this unborn child for:

1. Skin tags. gross and they just keep popping up

2. PUPPS. Evidently a rash that appears on your belly in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy and it. is. miserable. Mostly happens when you are having a boy. Thanks.

3. Other skin thing-ies. Just weird things that grow on me now. Again, gross.

4. Stretch Marks on my Stomach. This stomach will never see the light of day again. Believe me, it is better for all of us.

5. Varicose Veins. Thought I dodged the bullet with Lucy. Nope.

6. Cankles. They better go down after his birth.

7. Lacking the ability to walk without saying "Oh" every time I take a step.

8. Loss of bladder control. Is it too early for Depends?

Even with all of these body altering changes, I can't wait to meet Reynolds. We are so BLESSED to have him. I pray he is healthy and strong. I would take the list above a million times over, even if I don't need a Halloween costume anymore. I will just be the gross old lady with mysterious growths.

Ok, So this is what we've been up to

Well, I have been a bad blogger lately. I have no good excuse. Believe me, I was trying to think of one. I'm just about to have a baby and have a two and a half year old. That might be excuse enough. I'm pooped! We have been keeping pretty busy though. Here are some things that we have done recently.

We have made several art projects. I found this one on Pinterest. I know you all love that sight as much as me. This was a just a little something we sent to our Grandmothers.

We have had many picnics.

Played monster/alien.

Tried out the indoor bounce house. We went for a birthday party this time. Lu has absolutely no fear when it comes to this stuff. The higher, the better as far as she is concerned. I had a hard time finding a picture where she wasn't going WWF on the other children. She might be the only pro wrestler that wants to have pink nails and a big bow.

The best I could get with the birthday girl.

Now we only eat the tops off the cupcakes. I also cut her hair in a bob one night when she was sitting in my lap. I think this pregnancy is making me crazy.

We started Friday Night Movie Night. She got to get in Dad's sleeping bag and we watched Bambi. I would have to say it is her absolute favorite movie. She thought that she was big stuff in that sleeping bag. If we are good all week, we get to do it again. Crossing my fingers that it works. We also went to the zoo. Not smart for someone who is 35 weeks pregnant and lives in the heat of Southern Louisiana. We had a good time, but I was spent by the end of it.

And lastly, we helped Dad wash his car. Big hit!!
