Crawfish and a Mother's Day Surprise

Today we braved life outside of the Skipper-hood and went to the crawfish boil. Thank goodness we were all feeling better! Nothing worse than a stomach bug that won't leave. Phillip's good friend from home called and said they were checking it out, so we thought we would join. First thing I had to do was to change Lu into her crawfish attire. Yes, she has crawfish attire. We have been waiting for just the right moment to wear it. Lu loved the music, the people, and especially meeting the Herndons. None of the Skippers felt their stomachs could handle crawfish, so we just watched.
Notice the crawfish on her dress. Really, I think they are lobsters.

Really breaking it down on the dance floor. We couldn't keep her off of it.
Mr. Herndon and Lu. This one is for you Grandaddy.

Ok, if you are a mother to me or Phillip stop reading this now. If not, please enjoy. The Mother's Day surprise is not crawfish or Phillip without his shirt on. He He! Here is an easy Mother's Day project you can try. Tonight we made hand towels with Lu's prints on them. I just used paint that I already had and bought the towels from Target. They came in a pack of 4 so I made one for myself. I just wrote on the bottom with a Sharpie. They probably could have looked a little better, but I still think they are cute.
Doesn't love to have her hands dirty.

Finished product. Ready to hang in the kitchen.

I love the picture of her dancing. her aunt MAllory would have been right out there with her, had we been there.
Glad everyone is feeling better.

So cute! Totally stealing that idea!

(And Philip without a shirt on. bonus.)

Have conversed with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Heavy economic sanctions will be levied against your household if your husband continues to wear that Steve Spurrier (aka, visor) cap. Advise you torch it.
