Caging a Wild Animal

First off, I know I haven't blogged in a while but I have a good excuse. Both of our computers had the "blue screen of death" and my camera was full. I had no where to dump my photos, so I feel like I have just been sitting here.

Now, we have a wild animal on our hands and her name is Lucy. She has more energy than I could imagine. I will remind her of this when she is a teenager and wants to sleep till noon every day. Phillip was deathly afraid that, because she is so talented when it comes to climbing, she was going to escape from her crib and break something. We decided to get the crib tent. I kind of feel bad when I zip her in every day for naps and 'nigh nigh', but she honestly loves being in it. She reaches up and asks me to put her in. When I say ask I mean she says 'nigh nigh' and holds her arms up. She is really saying a lot of new things these days. Since she seems to like it, it does make me feel less like I am putting her in a cage and more like I am protecting her from herself. Does anyone else have one of these? It is completely safe and actually goes all the way under the mattress.
This is why she has the tent. Every day we were testing our limits.
Loving it!

The dress my mom made for her. That look says "I dare you!"

At first I was sad for you that you were having to put her in one of those, but then you said she liked it and now it seems like fun. I have had dreams that Haley has climbed out of her crib and started going about her day, so I feel like we will definitely be investing in one of these soon. Haley typically mirrors Lucy, just a few weeks or months later. I think it is so cute that she loves it. Can't wait to see some of the other stuff on your camera from the "lost time".

oh.em.gee. Fran, that is the FUNNIEST thing I have EVER seen-she is so adorable, and looks like a little tasmanian devil zipped into her crib! HAAAAAAAAAAAA!
One of my friends has a 1 year old and he CLIMBED out and fell out of his crib in the middle of the night-they had to get one too-they are too young for a "real" bed yet!
Too funny!
