2 Months

Our Baby Skippy is 2 months old already. I feel like I was just in the hospital delivering this little angel. He has the best temperament. RWS is so sweet, loves to be warm, loves to cuddle, and melts my heart. He is really smiling these days. You forget how exciting these little moments are. He weighs 12 lbs and is 22 5/8 inches long. Everything was 50%. Right down the middle for it all. I would have bet a million dollars that he was off the charts. He is just perfect!

Class Party

Today Lu had her Christmas party at school. They read some books with their teacher and then had a special lunch in their classroom. A friend of mine gave me some of her daughter's clothes that she had outgrown, including the jacket and hat below. Lucy didn't take them off all day. They told me she even napped in the hat. The funny part was it was about 75 degrees outside.

Reynolds came to the party too. I'm so glad he is a good baby.

Here Comes Santa

Today we had a very successful visit with Santa. This year she did not cry and was very excited to meet him. We got a few cute pictures. It is still hard for us to believe that we have two kids. Don't really know why the Santa picture made me realize it, but it did. We always go to Bass Pro Shop to meet Santa. It is always really organized and they give you a free picture. Plus, their Santas are the real deal.
In elf news, Lu and I decided that Gabriella needed something a little more girlish to wear, so we made her a dress. She left it with a note and this morning Gabriella was wearing it. The note is something that I wrote down word for word from what Lucy said. Kind of funny. Gabby needs some more clothes.

This morning we were all decked in Christmas attire for church. We won't be here for Christmas, so we wore our stuff today. You can't see, but RWS has on knee socks. It was SOOOO cute.

Lucy-isms

Last night Lu was dancing all over the den, making up songs about things we had talked about that day. Mary and Jophes (her pronunciation), Reynolds, Jesus, and dogs were some of the hot topics. My favorite was, and remember this was a song so picture it being sung...
"Jesus was born when he was born."
"Jophes and the three little wise men."
"We don't have a dog, so we got a little baby."

All of this while spinning and tumbling. I wish I could remember more. It was very entertaining.

Gabriella Returns

Gabriella returned today after staying in the North Pole for a few nights. She left a note saying that she wouldn't return until Lu started to be a little nicer to her Mom and Dad. Honestly she is lucky to be back. A toddler and a new baby can make for a nasty mix. Oh, especially when said toddler is a girl and only grandchild. Can we say S P O I L E D. I'm pretty exhausted trying to fix this! Maybe with Gabriella back we'll see some improvements.

Having a midnight snack with Dora...
Doing a little gold-fishing...

In other news... Lu got her school pictures back and I think they are great. It's amazing how much she has changed. She is such a cutie and (usually) a very sweet little girl. I love her so much!!

December, really?

So it's about 75 degrees and we are trying to get in the Christmas spirit. It's a little hard to do in short sleeves. We've been having a lot of fun doing some Christmas projects, thanks again to Pinterest. I love that site! Today we did not have tv because a certain 2 year old talks to her parents like a 15 year old. I'm not sure if it is more punishment for Mom and Dad or Lu to be tv free. It was actually very nice and we played and did some projects. Lucy loves to put on shows and today she had a dance class in her room. She lined all of her animals around the room to watch and set up chairs for Phillip and I to watch. Someone needs to get this girl an agent.
Then she wanted to go to the park dressed like this (notice the lip when I told her she couldn't):

RWS got all dressed up for church today. This was the first time we took him. He just sat in his car seat during the service and Sunday school. Overall he did well. Such a good little man.

I feel like I never take pictures with him, so I made Phil take some. I look very tired, cause I am.
Someone has started smiling a little bit. We took a million pictures trying to capture one. Look at my chunky. Then, this is what we had for dinner. Drunk chicken by Phil. Very delicious. I thought it looked really funny sitting on a beer can.

I talked Lu into wearing her Christmas dress and taking some pictures in front of the tree. All I had to say was she could hold her brother. Here are some of our projects from today. The reindeer are our fingerprints. The lights are her fingerprints. I think I'm going to do this on a dish cloth for a gift.

Direct Line

Since Gabriella has a direct line to Santa, she left Lucy a little message last night. Lu had a bit of a (or a few) meltdown and was a little naughty. Gabriella told the big man and left her a message in her bathroom. She also brought back a note from Santa. Let's just say that this morning when she saw it, she wasn't really impressed. So much for using Gabriella's powers!
