Team Edward

For those of you who don't know, the Twilight series is filming its final movie, Breaking Dawn, here in Baton Rouge. The cast is supposedly staying right down the street from where we live. No sightings yet, but I will let you know. Lucy and I planning on running into Robert Pattinson very soon. Our favorite cupcake place, Sweet Wishes, is getting in on all of the excitement too. When we went to pick up cupcakes for Daddy's birthday we saw this:

so of course Lucy got one. It was delish! The lady said the actors hadn't been in the shop yet, but some people that work for the movie came in and bought some to take to everyone. They also had Team Jacob cupcakes, but I wasn't about to get one of those. I told them they need to keep a tally to see who sells more. She thought Team Edward was winning...of course!

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Lucy's Thanksgiving Feast at school. We were early, because they told me the wrong time on Tuesday, so we killed a little time and played with her friends in her classroom. I'm not going to lie, she wasn't really happy when we pulled up to the school. 1. She got up at 4:30 this morning, ready to go. 2. She almost fell asleep on the way over. 3. She thought I was going to drop her off. Once we got over that, she was so excited for me to be there and have lunch with her. She played with her friends, danced, and was a general show off. I loved seeing her with her little friends. They did such a great job putting it all together and I finally got to bring home some of Lucy's art work! I loved every minute. The school really put together a nice feast with great decorations. The kids were so excited to have their parents. Can't wait until the next party!

Some of the Baby Birds.

Dancing with her friends.

Getting ready to go to the lunchroom to eat our feast! (Don't you love the little boy on the right. That is his 'cheese' face. Ha!)

The table decorations. I even had a place card. It was so cute!

The kids enjoying their Thanksgiving meal. Not sure what Lu was doing here. My Turkey! With her teacher Ms. Sarah! She loves her!

Proud Mommy. Lu kind of goes blank when I take a picture. Hope that changes.

Traitors

Tonight we went to an LSU basketball game. Don't worry Auburn people, we were cheering against both teams. Lucy loved the music. She was a dancing fool. She also was very concerned with Mike, the tiger. She followed his every move. But, when we chased him down, she was scared to take her picture with him. Lucy wouldn't look at him because, we like to think, she was hoping it was Aubie. Phillip got some tickets from work and it was a lot of fun. I hope he gets more.

It's Christmas Card Time!

Ok, so Christmas decorations are up in about every store you go to. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. One of my favorite things about the holidays is picking out the best card for our family and, of course, receiving them from all of our family and friends. I like to tape them up to a door where I can see them every day. I love to see the different designs and all of the adorable pictures that families take. It is so awesome to see the changes that happen throughout the year. So I have been looking at cards for probably a month now planning on what we would send to our loved ones. Shutterfly has some amazing options this year. There is something for everyone!

Here are some of my top choices for this year:
I have ordered from Shutterfly for years now and have always been very happy with the out come. Not only can you get your holiday cards from them, but it is a great place to look for some stocking stuffers. Last year I made an adorable calendar for our family, and I think it was one of the best gifts that we gave.

You can even turn some of your favorite pictures into wall art. The canvas pictures are awesome! The hardest part is choosing which picture you want to use.

If you are a blogger and you are interested in receiving 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly, click on this link. Happy searching!

Zoo

Today we met my Dad's first cousin and her granddaughter at the zoo. Lucy and Sarah play really well together and LOVE each other. They ran and ran and squealed. We had a great time. I don't know about Sarah, but Lucy was asleep before we were out of the parking lot. The zoo here is really great and they have a nice playground and petting zoo. We can't wait to go back. The tiger exhibit is really nice. He was about 3 inches from Lucy's face and she didn't really care for that. Smart girl.
I think he was hungry.
Cousin love!

Ohhh... mountain goats.

Deep convo about the swan.

Off to the Races

This weekend we went to Steeplechase in Calloway Gardens. It was kid free and a ton of fun! It was so nice to be with friends and have some adult time. Lucy stayed with her aunt and uncle in Auburn and had a blast. She did great! I hope that we can keep doing this throughout the years because we sure miss our friends! It was a LONG drive, but Lucy did great. We were all ready to get out of the car when we got home though. Good thing we only do it once a year, although it would totally be worth it to see everyone again.
The girls! Everyone had boots on, I mean everyone! (Not sure what my face is doing)

Bootie shot.
The guys! We missed you Stewart.

Me and my best girl! Miss her!!

School Pictures for My Bow-Head

Today Lucy had her school pictures. I can't wait to see how they turned out. It looked like she did really well. She was itching to take a turn. I think she thought she was doing something really special because she kept asking for her "turn." I loved her outfit and we have been saving it for our big picture day. The bow is a little big, but I think it is so cute.
Playing school.
