Filling Time

It actually was chilly outside yesterday, so we had to do something inside. Lu loves to paint and we had a great time painting our giant picture. RWS watched and cooed. I think he wanted to try it out too. It was a great way to fill some time.

Momma M to the Rescue!

We have been sick for weeks now and finally (I hope) we are turning a corner. In a last minute phone call we asked Momma M (Phillip's mom) if she could help us this past weekend. I was sick, Lu was sick, and Reynolds was getting a runny nose. She, of course, came running. I couldn't ask for a better mother-in-law. You guys that live near family have NO idea how lucky you are. His mom got up at 3 in the morning and drove 7 hours to be here and help us. Amazing! One day, maybe we will be closer to family. Here's a little recap of the weekend. Nothing exciting since it basically flooded and we were all recovering. The kids also got a package from my parents this weekend. They got the cutest plates (below). It takes playing with your food to a whole other level!

4 months

Someone is 4 months old!! Well, poor guy has had a rough go at it. He has been sick with RSV, cold, and a fever virus. I think that big sis might bring germies home and then kisses all over him. I feel like our house has been just yuck the past few weeks. Hoping that keeping the windows open and Lysol will help. We went to the doctor last week and RWS was 14lbs 10oz. Next week he has his actual check up, so we will see. He is a good eater and even sweeter boy. He loves his sister and loves reaching for his toys and grabbing them. We aren't rolling over just yet, but he is very close. More stats to come!

Be Mine

Happy Valentine's Day! We have had a good day, just a little hectic. Nothing like a two year old hyped up on sugar. Really, nothing like it. Over the weekend Lu and I got some treats ready for her class and decorated her shoe box for valentines. We had a lot of fun doing those things. Then today we woke up and checked out the V-day loot. She loved the balloon most of all. Mental note-get only a balloon for her birthday. Lu had her class party today at school and RWS and I went. I'm thinking that I might not go next time because she was in rare form and I was pretty exhausted when I left. Yikes! It was cute to see the kids and put a face with the names. Now I know who I don't want her to play with (j/k, well not really).

Clever

Lu is the most clever little girl I know. Yesterday, while we were cooped up in the house, she made a Boppy for her baby using her neck pillow. I just looked over and she he "Gabriella" next to RWS in her Boppy. I just thought it was so clever. Then, I leave Phillip alone with the babes for one hour and he has posed them with beer and pretzels. He said that they were ready for the Super Bowl. So that's what they do when I get a chance to leave!

Dora's Newest Fan

Now that RWS can sit for a little bit in the Bumbo, Lu thinks it is awesome. She wanted to sit right next to him and constantly put her around him. She wanted him to watch Dora, which he seemed to like. What is it with Dora that mesmerizes kids? Maybe if I start speaking Spanish the kids will listen to me better.

New Tricks and Drinking the Koolaid

Our big guy is growing up. He is 3 1/2 months old and I feel like he is doing something new everyday. Poor guy has had RSV and we have all been trying to get those germs out of our house. We have been very fortunate that he has not had to do breathing treatments and there was no hospital visit for us. Thank you God. He is still coughing, but he feels so much better. Now is he is back to playing on the floor and getting very close to rolling over from front to back. He is really doing great with tummy time and we just started sitting in the Bumbo seat for short bits. I can't believe he is big enough to start doing that. Today he started turning his head when I said his name. I might seriously start crying, because this is my baby. He is growing so fast. He smiles absolutely all of the time. I love it. Nothing better than his sweet face to make you forget that it is actually 3 in the morning and you are super tired.

For any Brasfield and Gorrie people... I put the B&G koolaid in his bottle and now he is part of the team. Future poopoo plant builder, just like his Daddy.

Look at those cheeks. Yum! Do you know how many people ask me how old he is. They think he is huge. 14 lbs 7 oz at the last check up. I think he is still right down the middle. Tummy time is so much happier these days!
