Look Who Has Come to Town

Our Elf on the Shelf has come to town. Little Gabriella elf has come to make sure Lucy and Reynolds are being nice so Santa will bring them presents this year. Lucy names everything Gabriella, so I wasn't surprised when she wanted to name our elf that. Not really sure where that name came from, but I'm sure there aren't too many other elves that share her, yes her, name. Phillip and I are so excited to do this. Should be fun to come up with a different spot for Gabby every night. What a fun tradition! We can't forget she is keeping an eye on Reynolds too. We caught her snuggling up with him.

Gobble Gobble

We started Thanksgiving off with a new tradition; turkey cinnamon rolls! Of course it was a pinterest idea. This year my family drove to Louisiana to spend the holiday with us. It was so awesome of them to come all this way. It made it a lot easier with a new baby. It was the first time to tackle the Thanksgiving recipe. I will have to say it was a success!

Didn't they turn out cute!

Pops got a little feeding time in with our newest turkey!

Carving the turkey. They did a great job!!

Lucy helped me set the table.

Look at that spread!

Someone is a performer. She put on A LOT of "shows". Poor Aunt Molly was worn out!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Happy Birthday Phillip!! We love you so much and you are the best husband, father, and friend. I think I have the hardest working husband there is. He never complains and loves life. We should all have his attitude toward things. He is funny, smart, and loves being a dad. A certain little girl thinks he hung the moon. I can't wait for Reynolds to get to know his father. I couldn't think of a better role model for our son. If he is half the man his father is, then he will be good to go. Thank you Phillip for all that you do for us. We love you most! (quoting Tangled, his favorite movie.)

Thanksgiving Feast

Yesterday was Lu's school Thanksgiving Feast. They do such a great job with it every year. It is so special for the kids and they love to eat lunch with Mom and Dad. We got a great Thanksgiving meal and got to meet some of Lu's friends. I love seeing all of the projects the do and watching the big kids sing Thanksgiving songs.
Her place tags and place mat.

Even Baby Skippy came to eat lunch with her. She really loved showing him off.

Some one was super excited to have her Daddy there! And it was ok that Mom made it too.

Max and Ruby and such

So with all of the big changes around our house, Phillip and I wanted to do something special for Lucy. She is a big fan of the cartoon Max and Ruby. When I heard they were coming to the area I had to get a ticket. Phillip took Lu for a special Daddy/Daughter date. They got McDonalds and then went to the show. Phillip was so cute because he came out of our room in dress clothes and I asked him why he was so dressed up, and he said, "because Lucy and I are going on a date." He is a great Daddy. They had so much fun. She did really well and loved watching the play.

Lu has been doing such a great job as a big sister. She can be very helpful, when she wants. She loves her little brother and today I heard her say to him, "we are all best friends." Very sweet.

She was holding him while she was watching tv.

She also has been really into her baby doll the past few days. When I put RWS on his play mat, she gets the other mat out and puts her baby on it. She has had a good time playing Mommy.

I wonder what she is telling him.

Congrats are in order

Congratulations to my awesome brother! Teacher of the year! He deserves it. His peers nominated him and several others and then voted. That says a lot about what his fellow teachers think of him. Way to go! Now quit making me look bad!

More baby stuff to come.
